Nail Polish.....HELP...?

Ok i luv my black nail polish but now it is like all gooey or something and is hard to apply to fingernails...i heard that after opening a brand new nail polish you then store it in your fridge..to keep it from getting all gooey and crappy..and stuff and it last longer and better...is that true? if you have any suggestions that could help my nail polish problem... thanx..

Nail Polish.....HELP...?
You can thin your polish with thinner or polish remover, only a few drops of either. Keeping polish in the fridge is ok, but if you store it anywhere out of direct sun, somewhat cool place it will be ok. I have found that if you buy quick dry polish it thickens quicker. Since you said you like black and purple polish I would recommend you also pick up a bottle of clear to paint your nails first because dark colors after time can stain your nails this will protect them, a shiny one will add extra gloss. One more little tip after Halloween check sales and you could find polish cheaper black and purple both are popular then. I painted mine black with silver glitter for New Years received compliments all night!
Reply:Add a couple of drops of nail polish remover.
Reply:try diluting with a little nail-polish remover?

would not recommend storing in Refrigerator cause the smell will get into food!
Reply:any one with a brain between his/her ears should vow off putting any thing on their nails, they are meant to breathe!!! not to be covered with stupid and toxic chemicals!!!!!
Reply:add small amount of polish remover to polish shake real well.that should help
Reply:I dont know how to get it un-gooy but next time get the Morbid brand, it works super duper good and its nice and shinney
Reply:u should throw that bottle out and get a new one. i just got black wet'n'wild nail polish and it works really well. i keep it in the fridge and i think it helps.
Reply:Keeping polish in the fridge doesn't do anything for the polish. You can use polish thinner to thin the polish. DO NOT use polish remover. The more you use a bottle of polish, the thicker it gets. It does that because it's being exposed to the air. When it gets too thick, buy a new bottle.
Reply:yup thats true. ive noticed cheaper nail polish tends to goop fairly quickly when they get hot. try the fridge trick, its always worked for ,e
Reply:I've heard that if you actually pour in a LITTLE nail polish remover, it can thin it out without making it unuseable.
Reply:To avoid that, don't shake the bottle. Roll it gently in the palm of your hands before applying.

and after you paint them you'r not sopsed to do anything for 30 mins.
Reply:oo my mom does nails

Reply:im pretty sure its true
Reply:Nail polish gets like that when it's either too old, or stored where the temperature and humidity changes, like in your bathroom.

There's nothing you can do to fix the polish once it's congealed. Throw it away and buy new. This time, store it in a dry place where the heat and humidity from showering won't affect it.

The fridge is not the best place to store it, too cold. On the back of the bottle, there should be a range of temperatures that are recommended. It's best kept at a constant room temperature.
Reply:Buy a new nail polish! Why BLACK?! Try something like a french manicure!
Reply:u can go and buy a new black nail polish and stock up on it so if it keeps getting goopy u will have more of it.
Reply:You can buy a product that thins nailpolish. I work at a salon and we have it there, it works really good. You just put it in the bottle and shake it and it makes it like new again! I would maybe look at a beauty supply store for it.
