Nail polish?

how can i make my nail polish go thin and runny again, its all thick and hard to put on,

and also is it true if u put your nail polish bottle in really hot water it makes the nail polish go all runny and new again

Nail polish?
I haven't heard the one about running hot water over it ...but I did find some good information for you that should help you ....

Step1

Put four or five drops of nail polish thinner in the bottle when the polish becomes too thick to apply evenly. Nail polish remover will not work for this purpose. There should be a nice, small drop of nail polish on the end of the brush when it is thin enough.

Step2

Store nail polish in a cool, dry place. Keeping nail polish in the refrigerator, which many women seem to do, actually makes it harder and thicker. Even when it is removed and allowed to return to room temperature, the chemicals may be so changed that you will not get a nice, even coat from the nail polish.

Step3

Toss nail polish after about two years. Be realistic about the longevity of your favorite colors. While a certain color may go out of fashion for a few years, don't hang onto it thinking it will be back in style some day. Nail polish is unusable after some time.

Step4

Handle your bottles of nail polish gently. Shaking the various colors before applying only make bubbles in the polish and can make it more difficult to apply. The thicker coloring that settles in the bottom of the bottle can be mixed by holding the bottle between your hands and gently massaging it. Turn the bottle upside down once, then upright.

Reply:I'd add some nail vanish remover and shake well. It always works for me. However to keep it fresh why not try keeping your collection in the fridge.... no joke. My friend's mum kept her nail vanishes in a tub at the back of the fridge, I used to think she was nuts. I decided to ask her why as it was annoying me why she thought of putting her nail vanish in with her food. She told me it stopped it from going hard and thick so it remained fresh and good as new. She even had a nail vanish which was 7 years old! I tried it with mine and I did notice a difference. If your not keen on the idea then just make sure you put the top on tight and shake well before use :D Good luck!
Reply:Sally Beauty and I'm sure all other beauty supplies sell nail polish thinner. It is not nail polish remover. You add a little at a time until it gets to the desired consistency. Do not use nail polish remover.
Reply:your nail polish is probably too old there is nothing you can do but buy a new bottle
Reply:dilute it with a little nail varnish remover. if you put the bottle in hot water, it will help but only for a little while!
Reply:the nail polish is probably old try getting a new one
Reply:Adding a few drops of nail polish remover will work. Shake well!
