Black nail polish?

i've noticed that a lot of the girls that supposedly have eating disorders, whether its anorexia or bulimia, wear black nail polish...





is that due to the trend or does wearing black nail polish suggest that the girl might have an e.d.? because i've heard they use dark nail polish to cover their unhealthy and discolored nails due to the e.d.

it's possible that's for sure, but I think the majority of them do it for fashion .
Reply:I don't know because me and my friend wear black nail polish because it's our favorite colr and we don't have eating disorders but I guess some famous people do that have eating disorders. I'm not sure if that's why though...

Reply:It's the new red of Hollywood. Where some of us have used it for decades it's the latest thing w/ some celebs.The girls with e.d needs to worry about covering up their unhealthy looking bodies not their nails.

Reply:I've never noticed that before. A lot of the anorexic celebs I've seen all have fake nails done up in French manicures. Acrylic nails will cover up the discolorations too.
Reply:I dont like to judge people,or their taste in things.Personally,I would never wear black nail polish.Maybe when I was 18 I would have,but not now.But I can understand girls that do,and what they believe in ,so it really doesnt bother me to see girls wearing it!

Reply:never heard of that...but it doesnt have to be only black ..red or blue or any dark color would cover it .....i use to wear all kinds of colors but i didnt have a eating disorder
Reply:I never heard that but whenever I wear black nail polish people think i'm trying to be a goth. it's so stupid, I just like the colour!
