Fingernail polish?

My one bottle of nail polish is pretty much entirely dried up. I tried mixing in water to get it back to normal, but that didn't work. Yeah, I could always run out and buy a new bottle, but is there any way you know of to fix it? I heard that sometimes mixing in a bit of nail polish remover in with the polish itself helps sometimes, but I don't have any lying around the house.

Fingernail polish?
i always have that happen to me lol all you need to do is take a bit of finger nail polish remover and mix it in and it should be good
Reply:well, you do actually put nail polish remover in it to get it back to normal....just a few drops from a paper towel......you might have to get a new brush thing
Reply:Yeah I've heard about the nail polish remover to make it work again but you could try adding a drop of oil to it?
Reply:just get a new one.
Reply:well you already ruined it by putting the water in it! That allows the polish get cold easier and harden! So buy a new bottle and if it gets to the same point again then add a little bit of nail polish remover! It works like a charm until you can get that nice new bottle of polish!
Reply:Nail polish remover helps to get it back to normal , but next time try to be more careful cause it have many other reason to make your nail polish dry faster and make you spend money all the time buying new ones; here all the tips you can avoid to make your nail polish last longer:

Try not to apply it infront of the fan or in a place that have too much breeze cause these will cause it to dry fast after a period of time.

Try not to leave it open for long when you apply it to your nail.

Make sure it is closed properly.
Reply:yeah i would say that when its all gone its all gone and the only thing you could add to it to get more nail polish is more nail polish... my pickle jar is empty so maybe if i add some things to it they will come back? nah ill just buy more pickles...
Reply:Actually acetone is the best thing to add to thin it out (can get it at beauty supply store). But, if you don't have nail polish remover, it is likely that you don't have acetone laying around either!
Reply:i'd go out and get another thing of polish. if you've already put water in it then it's pretty much messed up already. i did that before and it didn't help : (
Reply:Sorry but once you put the water in it you pretty much ruined any chance of making it work. But if it's really dry and you absolutely have to have it, try to pour the water out and add some clear nail polish to it and shake really really well.
Reply:I always add nail polish remover. and it workS!!
Reply:Its best to a get a fresh new one. (1) BUT if u relly want some life in the 1 you hav(thats dried up), you must put the nail polish bottle in a pot or a deep dish with relly hot water up to a level that water does not gets in to the nail polish bottle(do it everal times and varnish melts in bottle),also the cap of bottle should be shut (2) AND put some nail polish remover(amount of remover depends on how much the nail varnish is dried up) and shake it. BOTH these things if done togather will help a lot.
Reply:It sounds like it is too far gone. OPI makes a nail polish thinner that works good but it only works if you start to use it when the bottle first starts to get gummy. Nail polish remover takes the shine out of it so don't use it, ever. If it is dried up, it is dead, with no reviving.
Reply:I don't think that any thing can help.. Its pretty much a goner. just get a new bott.e
