Does nail polish look good on anyone anymore?

I havn't seen alot of girls with nice lookings hands because their nail polish just looks horrible wiht their hands.

Have you ever noticed that, nail polish can look really weird on certain people, almost awkward...i can't get use to it.

Anyway, do you prefer clean clear hands, or do you still do the whole nail polish thing.

Does nail polish look good on anyone anymore?
I usually keep my nails clean. Sometimes I'll put on a clear polish.. =)

When I'm at home, and I have nothing better to do, I paint my nails in the most biazzard and weird looking colors....but just for fun. I take it off before I go to school. lol

As for other people...........I think that sometimes people choose colors that don't match their skin tone. They just pick a color that they think is pretty.

=)
Reply:I think matching nail polish looks really cute. If it starts chipping off, you have to remove it right away. It also looks bad if you bite your nails or clip them too short.
Reply:I like to use the clear nail polish now. I don't like the black and purple nail polish
Reply:It depends on who is wearing it. But I usally use a clear cote.
Reply:I have noticed that lately as well. It almost looks too thick! You see alot of bright colors too and I have always liked light colors better.
Reply:clean clear hands :]

nail polish chips and it gets me annoyed
Reply:It just depends on the color of the polish, actually. I still paint my nails. I'm currently sporting neon green. It's just another way to express yourself, to me.
Reply:Well, it truly is a matter of preference, since everyone is different (and aren't you glad?).

Nail polish, if done well and in a color that goes with the person wearing it, can be quite attractive.

Consider this, you see a person with a very light complexion wearing a very dark nail color. Not good, right?

Now what if you saw a nicely tanned girl wearing a medium short dress, some gold jewelry and with a softer gold polish on her fingers and toes. Nice....

How about a person with very short, uneven nails wearing chipped polish (any color). It's just not very attractive.

Now how about a girl with longer dark hair, an olive complextion, just the right amount of makeup to enhance (not hide) her natural beauty and wearing a glossy maroon on her nails. Pretty decent!

So you see? There are many variations - some work, some don't. Some people choose to just have their nails neatly trimmed and slightly buffer (no polish) for a neat, clean look.

I guess it's to each his own. That's why people-watching is so popular - you never know what you'll see!

Have fun observing!!
Reply:i never put on weird colours like purple or blue. i always go french with the french manicure cause it looks cute and fresh and clean!!
Reply:I've not worn nail varnish in about three or four years. Not only do I keep my nails short for archery (catching a nail on a bowstring really hurts!) and fighting, but I'm in the lab five days a week, and there's nothing like the acetone we use for washing glassware to take nail varnish straight off. There's just no point any more.
Reply:i use nail polish, but i put it on only when my nails are short with rounded ends and the cuticles are clean. once thats all settled, i choose a color that compliments my skin tone, then paint them myself and fix any mistakes!!
Reply:well i like painting my nails in a whole bunch of wierd colors in like stripes and polka dots.

but i guess it depends on what you prefer.
