Are some polish men hypocrites?

Not to be racist but apparently some Polish men refer to themselves as 'Polaks' as it is Polish for 'Polish man.' But they find it offensive when other people call them 'Polaks.' Is this a bit like when rappers say 'yo ma n!ga,' and when a cracker says it they try to kill him?

Are some polish men hypocrites?
If you look up Polish history, you will know that for a foreigner to call a Polish man a *Polak* meant sudden death.

*Polak* was a code word to identify Catholic Polish people who hid Jewish families during the WWII. Nazis would shout out "Polak" and the Pole in question would be shot dead, instantly, for being suspected of protecting Jews.
Reply:Are some hypocrites polish men?
Reply:I don't know but is suspect your question has something to do with what Israel Shahak would call anti-gentile racism
Reply:Every human being that's ever lived has been a hypocrite to some extent.
Reply:Probably many minorities have simliar anomalies.

Gays sometime refer to themselves as poofs, gays, homos, etc., when talking to eachother, but may take offence to it if used against them by straights.

I guess it all depends how the name is said and in what context. If it is used threateningly then of course it's an insult. But if it's used when two friends are chatting, one Pole and one non Pole, It's probably OK.
Reply:Like they can call them Polaks but if you are not Polack I think it's some insult for them. So better don't call them Polack, maybe in their language "Polack" means some offense.
