Nail Polish/Design Question?

I really like polishing my nails, but I sometimes have problems such as:

1. Chipping after a day or two

2. The nail polish just literally peeling off my nail (not little bits, like the polish off the WHOLE nail!)

3. Nail Polish Remover. after I use it my nails are still tinged the nail polish%26#039;s color %26amp; the color is in the creases by my nails

and a few design questions:

1. How do you do tips (like in a French manicure but not necessarily white) evenly %26amp; straight?

2. Does anyone else have a problem polishing their opposite hand (I%26#039;m left handed %26amp; my left hand which was polished with my right hand always turns out terrible) %26amp; how to fix it?

3. Cute designs. Like, is every nail a different color cute? Or black? %26amp; how do you make hearts, stars, etc.? and how do you make stripes straight?

Thanks! Sorry my question was so long.

Nail Polish/Design Question?
You should always swipe nail polish remover over your nails right before you polish them. The natural oils on your hands make the polish come off faster.

If you use a dark polish color without a clear base coat, it will tint your nails. Gotta have that base coat!

If you are trying to paint tips on your own, try buying the little half-moon stickers they sell in the drugstores in the nail section. *Make sure your base polish is completely dry first, or they will peel that off!
Reply:1. if you wanna do a french paint the tip of your nail white. then take a rounded design brush and dip it it polish remover and go over the top of the white polish to make the line straight and clean.

2. I guess you just have to be careful. when you finish polishing the opposite hand use polish remover to neaten up the polish that may have gotten on your fingers.

i dont think every nail a different color is cute. I think its kinda tacky. I like black. Try using a nail stencil. And use a very thin design brush to make stripes. The brush should only have about 2 strands so that if the lines arent straight it will be thin so people probably wouldnt notice.

You could also just go to the salon
Reply:you need to make sure you%26#039;ve got a good nail varnish in the first place the really cheap rubbish ones will peel off almost the next day

to stop chipping put a top coat on with a finishing polish this will give them extra shine too :)

if you%26#039;re going to do a french manicure at home your best bet is to get the kits with the stickers that help you to paint in a straight line

yes i think most people have the problem of painting the other hand, it just takes practise

i answered the ones i could help with!

hope i helped

Reply:For all of your problems, you need to have a clear coat or nail polish. Nail hardener will not work. It will make the entire coat of polish come off very easily. I think that%26#039;s what happened in problem #2. Design Questions:

1. As someone else said, buy those little white tip things they have.

2. Yes, I have trouble doing that, too. There%26#039;s no problem to fix it, unless you%26#039;re ambidextrious, lol!

3. Cute designs: Yeah, every nail a different color is pretty cute. I did that before. I like black, but sometimes people stereotype it as gothic. But wear black if you like it. To make hearts, stars, and designs, you can either buy little stickers to go on your nails or dip a toothpick in the nail polish then use that to make the design. To make stripes straight, you just put two small pieces of paper on your (like stripes). Then paint over them, and all of the spots where there wasn%26#039;t paper will be painted with stripes. Be sure to put on designs when your base coat is dry.

I hope this helped you.
